The Nifty-Lift block and tackle is an ingenious 2 pulley block system designed with CNC precision and a patented race in order to make lifting or pulling virtually anything simpler; without the common problems of typical block and tackles binding and running off track.
…Step back in time with me and imagine for a moment, I’m in my early 70’s, on a snowmobile hauling a sled full of wood back to camp, I have my dog with me and the sun is going down. I still have a little ways to go to get back and the trail ahead is becoming less and less visible as I wind through the trees.
Then it happened! One late turn and I was off the trail in waste deep snow. I was stuck, and stuck good! The harder I tried, the deeper it got. …All I wanted was a block and tackle or even a snatch block to lasso to a tree and help get me unstuck and back on the trail. And with one, it would have been fairly easy, instead of impossible, as it currently was.
The next day I went looking for a portable, lite weight block and tackle. I couldn’t find one. …So I started building one. …To date, ‘The Nifty Lift’ has gone through about five evolutions to get it to the powerhouse that it is today.
I didn’t know it at the time, but have since realized that there are tens-of-thousands of people with hundreds of uses for a portable, lite weight block and tackle system. It comes in handy in a multitude of life-style uses such as snowmobiling, hunting, deep sea fishing, hiking, off-roading, survival and much more.
